To develop a systematic framework with a sustainable environment, the Green Highway mission has developed unique green corridors with aesthetic appeal.

With an idea of balancing pollution with green corridor, significant changes take place in our environment. To take a deep concern in building a sustainable environment and green highway, NGHM has created this concept of green corridor. This is built to compensate the damage which has already been done in the name of deforestation swapping it again with the name of development. Since trade and commerce depends on quick movement of goods and people, building roads have become an important facet. Lot of environmental concerns has arisen due to cutting of forest, trees and shrubs. Green corridors in India play an important role as green environment projects in discarding the harmful impact of deforestation ensuring adequate supply of oxygen to the atmosphere.

Green highway mission is not just for humans in particular, but also the wildlife who are facing problem due to forest being cleared and hampering their habitat. Building by the clear rules and regulation of government we need to prevent this situation. The Green Highway project is result driven with pleasant incentives. Trees are being cut due to massive urbanization. To track the development of greenery around the highway, strict monitoring of plantation is taken into action.

With holdings near the highways land owners can be motivated to include numerous shrubs to increase the amount of greenery. Funds for the task are offered by the suitable authorities so that people do not have to invest in the venture from their own pockets. Agencies that are registered with green highway project India are permitted to undertake the plantation project. The organizations are included in the panel only with sufficient experience and capability to accomplish the task. Tracking the flow and monitoring the outcomes are the major aspects of NGHM. Proper steps have to be taken so that pollution can be controlled in a systematic manner.

Considering the fact of speed limits, awareness has been built up by NGHM in express highways to prevent accidents. Taking into account the soil erosion, Green Corridor projects are spread across in different ways. Planting trees can help prevent the problems of soil erosion. Monetary Contribution from organization help in funding of such projects. This is a cause which connects everyone in a single platform. Appropriate technology with state of art equipments will help to accomplish the task. Under the authority of NHAI ( National Highways Authority of India) NGHM has been accomplishing the task of planning, implementation and monitoring road side plantation for one lakh Km National Highways seeking to turn one lakh direct employment opportunity in next ten years in this plantation sector.

Combating the global warming and climate change effects with optimum GHG sequestration NGHM targets to build a sustainable ecosystem in form of Green Corridors along the National Highways. This has majorly reduced the impact of noise, air and dust pollution providing shades on scorching hot roads in summer , with reducing effect of soil erosion , wind and incoming UV radiation.
