When buying KN95 masks, in fact, they all have their own implementation standards, because a safe and qualified product must have corresponding standards and specifications. And from July 1, 2020, KN95 masks must also implement the new standard regulations, so what is the difference between the old regulations?
The first edition of the standard GB2626-2019 was released in 1981 (GB2626-1981). It was updated three times in 1992, 2006, and 2019. The 2019 edition was changed to "Respiratory protection self-priming filter anti-particulate respirator" without "products" "Two words. Among them, the GB2626-2019 version was released on 2019-12-31 and implemented on 2020-07-01. This standard was proposed by the State Administration of Work Safety.
On July 1, 2020, GB 2626-2019 will be officially implemented, which will put forward higher requirements for KN95 masks in terms of breathing resistance, air tightness, practical performance, cleaning and disinfection, etc., which can better reflect the actual use of the mask performance.
The changes and differences between GB 2626-2019 and GB2626-2006 are:
First, the standard name change GB 2626-2019: Standard name "Respiratory protection self-priming filter anti-particulate respirator"; GB 2626-2006: "Respiratory protection self-priming filter anti-particulate respirator";
Second, the terms GB 2626-2019 have been deleted. The three terms "smoke", "fog" and "microorganism" have been deleted, and "penetration rate" has been added (see 3.14 and 3.19~3.24);
Third, increase and modify requirements and detection methods
In short, the mask standard is an important indicator for the delivery of each mask. The introduction and implementation of the new KN95 standard will definitely further improve the protection quality of KN95 masks and ensure the health and safety of users.
