A beachside condominium complex in Florida was faced with water leaks and pipe cracks in their kitchen and bathroom drain stacks. The residents were struggling to enjoy the spectacular location without concerns regarding these pipes. The complex called in water pipe leak company, NuFlow. The team inserted trenchless drain lines into the kitchen and bathroom drain stacks in all the condos to reduce the risk of pipe leaks and breaks moving forward.

The project required the rehabilitation of cast iron vertical drain stacks using the NuFlow trenchless CIPP drain liner. This involves a total of eleven buildings with over three hundred units and more than thirty acres of beautifully landscaped gardens. The buildings all comprised six floors with residential units, the majority of which were owned by retired persons.

The over a mile of cast iron vertical drain stacks were well hidden behind concrete and drywall. The NuFlow team lined piping that was associated with the bathroom and kitchen drain lines, which were over twenty-six years old and ranged in diameter from three to four inches.

Before the NuFlow team came to the rescue, condo owners were experiencing broken pipes. While the complex repaired the pipes as they broke, this caused replacing pipes by tearing down the walls, which is a very time-consuming, messy and disruptive process. The condo manager saw that the problem was worsening year on year and they decided to try a trenchless pipelining approach, calling in a specialist team from NuFlow to prevent the risk of future leaks.

Using a CIPP (Cured Place Pipe) lining solution, which creates a “pipe within a pipe,” the team were able to line the pipes quickly and effectively by gaining access through access points in the roof and parking lots.
