United States Adjusters not only provides representation for new insurance claims; it extends the privilege to property owners with pending, underpaid, and denied claims, as well.

[CORAL SPRINGS, 11/21/2017] - United States Adjusters offers homeowners and business owners another shot at acquiring favorable property damage insurance claims. The company’s public adjusters are experienced at processing pending claims, reopening files, and reviewing underpaid or denied claims.

Property and Insurance Assessments without Bias

For property owners, working with public adjusters is ideal because the latter are not tied to insurance providers. Historically, public adjusters acquire higher settlements for property damage claims than company adjusters (who work directly with insurance providers).

A report by the Office of Program Policy Analysis and Government Accountability (OPPAGA) revealed that the filing process is longer in the hands of public adjusters (132 to 296 days longer), but the wait often pays off for policy holders. In 2005, claims for damage caused by a natural calamity (especially after hurricanes Katrina, Emily, Rita, Wilma, and Dennis) yielded settlements that were 747% higher than the payments facilitated by company adjusters.

New Law Tempers the Disparity between Settlements and Claims

In August this year, on the heels of Hurricane Harvey, there came a sobering development from the Texas Senate. The Hailstorm Bill, as it is known, reduces penalties to insurance companies that delay payment to policyholders from 18% to 10%due to the flood of claims after a natural disaster.

In the industry’s point of view, this is a necessary move to temper the increasing burden on the property insurance industry. But for many policyholders in Texas, especially those who have pending claims or are planning to file a review of underpaid and denied claims, this bill could be a threat.

The bill is not without protection for policyholders, however. While it emphasizes the regulation of lawsuit abuses to insurance companies, it doesn’t limit the ability of public adjusters to secure maximum payouts. This is the attitude with which United States Adjusters approach insurance claims, especially for pending, re-opened, underpaid, and denied claims.

Facilitating Ongoing and Re-Filed Property Damage Claims

United States Adjusters is a company of insurance appraisers, public adjusters, and disaster consultants. It assists homeowners, business owners, and condominium owners in filing property damage claims. It also has insurance appraisers and loss consultants who are qualified to perform damage appraisals.

For clients who wish to follow-up on pending claims, United States Adjusters determines if there are discrepancies that may result in underpayments or denials. The company’s experienced public adjusters know the legal intricacies surrounding home and commercial property claims. So, if these situations do occur, they can work on re-opening the claim and maximizing the potential of property damage claims.

“We help [clients] get [their] rightful share from insurance providers for [their] damaged property,” says the company on its website.
