Compared with cornstarch tableware, bagasse tableware has lower production costs and improved practicability is easier to be accepted by the market, and can hold food for a longer time.

Now the disposable environmentally friendly tableware is mainly cornstarch tableware and Bagasse Trays. However, due to defects such as the high cost of corn starch tableware and intolerance to foaming, many manufacturers nowadays abandon corn starch tableware and switch to bagasse tableware.

Bagasse is a by-product of sugarcane. Because refining can improve the efficiency of sugar, the crushed sugarcane and bagasse containing fibrous stems left behind after refining are usually used by sugar factories as fuel for steam engines.

Compared with cornstarch tableware, bagasse tableware has lower production costs and improved practicability is easier to be accepted by the market, and can hold food for a longer time. But the only disadvantage of bagasse tableware is its slow degradation rate. Generally speaking, cornstarch tableware can be degraded in a few days, while bagasse tableware has to wait about 6 months.

Even so, bagasse tableware is also more environmentally friendly than plastic and paper tableware on the market. After use, it has less environmental pollution and is a good substitute for disposable plastic tableware.
