PCTE's Charpy impact testing is perfect for testing metals to Charpy and Izod standards at a capacity of 150 Joules. The two important classes of impact testing using a pendulum are Izod and Charpy, both tests very alike have notable differences:
• The Izod impact testing operates the individual vertically with the notch facing the pendulum.
• The Charpy impact testing holds the sample horizontally with the notch facing away from the pendulum.

• Motor-driven raising of hammer with auto-return after test for increased productivity and operator safety
