About the Song

The song 'Both Sides Now' is truly awesome, as shown by Roger’s own renditions. However, most musicians cover it as though it were a simple ballad from an Inner West musical, which it is not, in general opinion. And, you can experience, when you learn the right musician perform it in the proper direction, the subtle nuances of meaning can be drawn out and the song can once again be truly unique, as you can understand.

On the ground, like so many of Roger’s songs, this one is about loss - loss of identity, loss of passion, and loss of dignity. But there's something more going on here, and a clear explanation will help you figure it out. Roger is taking us on a journey into the realm of the occult. He seems to be referring to the principle of Maya (illusion), which is fundamental to many Hindu texts. Although Maya has many interpretations, its core idea is that we do not perceive the world as it is, but instead as a perception of it that we have created; the world as a dream, it what you will. The song is profound, dense and has a significant meaning to it.

The retro vintage vibe and pop genre enhances its beauty. The song is to be cherished for eternity as it speaks volumes. Visit our site and lend an ear to this composition. You will fall in love with this soundtrack and would yearn for more.
