Budget Book Scanning announces launch of new website. The site is user-friendly and enables customers to place an order online.

Monsey, NY, May 16, 2016 /PressReleasePing/ - Budget Book Scanning recently announced the launch of a new website designed to assist customers who wish to convert print books to a digital format. This site enhances the ability for customers to digitize their library by allowing them to place an order online. The company is based out of New York and a subsidiary of Bound Book Scanning Inc, which was founded in 2010 to provide book scanning services at a reduced rate.

Book scanning is a process that converts print books into a digital format which can be read on electronic devices. People often choose to have their books scanned to save space in their homes or to allow them to search for specific topics or words. Once the book is scanned, they use OCR (Optical Character Recognition) to convert the images of words to text. Books can then be viewed as PDF, DOC, or eBook formats. They can also purchase new print books, such as from Amazon and the like, and have them shipped to Budget Book Scanning for those titles where an eBook version has not been released.

Budget Book Scanning understands that their customers are busy people who may be digitizing significant amount of books, and therefore designed their order process to be simple and user friendly with a very streamlined order page. There is a minimum of 10 books per order, and they charge a flat fee of $5 per book, no matter how many pages it contains. On the order page, customers can select additional options, such as color covers or additional formats. The scanned files are placed in a Dropbox folder, which the user can download.

Because the company only charges $5 per book, regardless of size, the price is transparent throughout the home page. Additional charges are listed on the order page for special requests. The only other cost is shipping to their New York facility, which is very reasonable using USPS "Media Mail" which provides low pricing for shipping books.

Customers should be aware however, that their books will be destroyed during the scanning process and will not be returned. This is not a service for valuable book preservation. For projects requiring books to be returned intact, they refer you to their parent company, Bound Book Scanning.

Checkout should be made via PayPal for added security. For those who don't have a PayPal account, they can also pay by credit or debit card or even mail a check as payment. The turn time is not posted as it fluctuates, but when I called the company they advised me that it's usually 1-2 weeks.

Budget Book Scanning is an invaluable service for those seeking to convert their books from digital to physical.
