On Friday November 3, 2017 Dentistry At Somerset is proud to be hosting its Second Smiles For FREEdom Event!

Smiles For FREEdom is an opportunity to allow dental professionals to come together and provide free dental services for an entire day to veterans, and members of our armed services. This program was founded by Kandice Simpkins a Registered Dental Hygienist in Reno, Nevada. Since 2015 Smiles for FREEdom has provided over $280,500 in free dental services!

National interest is growing in this non-profit organization and Dentistry At Somerset in Ames is proud to give back to our local heroes who have served our country.

Dental care is a growing need in our country. It is important to Dentistry At Somerset to give back to the community and to help others get out of pain and into happier and healthier smiles. Dentistry At Somerset has been serving Central Iowa by providing its patients with dental care that will last a lifetime and by giving back to its local hospital, schools and the United Way for nearly two decades. This will be Dentistry At Somerset’s third veteran event. In 2015 Dentistry At Somerset served 15 veterans and provided $7,000 in free dentistry. Dr. Jason Niegsch is a veteran himself. He served as a dentist in the U.S. Navy stationed in Okinawa, Japan, then in Chicago, IL.

Since 2015 Smiles for FREEdom has served veterans and/or military service members and provided over $280,500 in free dental services! Participants for these events are veterans or local military service members. Services provided will be appointment based only and participants will not need to stand in line through the day. All services provided by Dentistry At Somerset and coordinating partners on this day will be FREE! All work and care provided by volunteers on this day are FREE. All work will be provided at the highest standards of quality and care that we would provide on any given day to our wonderful patients. Free dental services on this day will include a combination of diagnostic services, cleanings, fillings, extractions, and other possible dental health services based upon individual needs.

On Friday November 3, 2017 the Second Smiles For FREEdom Event will be hosted at Dentistry At Somerset on 2720 Stange Road in Ames, IA. Dental services this day are by appointment only and will begin at approximately 8am and end at approximately 5pm.
