One of the biggest complaints about Kraft Paper Packaging is that their products seem to lack integrity. While it's true they don't use real paper, they do use cardboard for their packaging. And cardboard is made from wood pulp, which is one of the most destructive forms of waste around. Cardboard also doesn't biodegrade, and it certainly doesn't decompose in nature like other non-biodegradable or renewable resources.

But what about all the trees that get cut down to make those cardboard boxes? All those trees need to be replanted and grown back up again if the original forested area is ever replaced. If this process is not carefully monitored, then the sheer numbers of trees being cut down are sure to put us on the road to serious environmental disasters. So while it's good that Kraft does recycle paper, one has to ask how they can continue to sell these products knowing that they're hurting the environment?

It appears that one answer may be found in the packaging factory's new line of environmentally friendly goods. Although they still don't use real paper in the production of their products, they have developed a way of using recycled cardboard to create a new type of packaging lining. This new product, called Dibond, is made by binding together a series of layers of either natural or recycled cardboard and paper with an anti-static charge. After the items have been packaged, the static charge is released, leaving behind an eco-friendly paper-like substance that looks and feels just like regular paper. The result is a package that not only gives the impression that the item was packed correctly, but it also gives the shopper the sense that he or she isn't contributing to environmental degradation when they purchase these items.
