Rocky Mountain Cannabis explains what to expect in the new year

There has been some talk in town regarding local authorities who wants to tighten the rules and regulation for the local cannabis industry. These talks became very real during the past week as it was finally announced that from the first of January, there are quite a few changes and users should take note of these changes if they want to remain on the good side of the law.
“At Rocky Mountain Cannabis, we believe that one of the reasons why many consider our brand to be one of the best marijuana dispensaries in the state is because we go out of our way to inform our clients about the legislation around the responsible use of these products. We also inform the wider public about the benefits it contains. So, it is important to get the latest changes in cannabis laws out to the public,” says Brittanny Szalewski, the marketing manager to Rocky Mountain Cannabis, a leading recreational marijuana dispensary.
She then explains that from the 1st of January, clients will have a daily purchase limit of no more than two grams. Dispensaries will also be obliged to enforce this using proper record keeping and in the case that clients would want to buy more, marijuana dispensaries would need to refuse sales to maintain their licensing.
Dispensaries would also have to provide proper education to the public regarding these products. Legal outlets must share information with their clients in the form of pamphlets that would state all the consequences of cannabis use.
“We are also not allowed to advertise any of our products to a market that is younger than 18 years old. The state’s intention with these stricter laws is to ensure that the use of cannabis remains responsible. While many might object, the best we can do is to stay within these laws and to consider it as an effort to maintain the quality of the industry and to ensure that clients and dispensaries stick to an outstanding level of responsible sales and use,” she further expanded.
It appears that the reason why these changes took so long to complete, and lawmakers spent so much time in discussion and it is only now that they announced the adjustments to the existing law, is because there were so many parties involved in consultation to provide a fair outcome that considers the needs of all relevant role players.
