Nowadays, knitted fabrics have entered the stage of development of multi-functionalization and high-grade. New knitted fabrics with various texture effects and different functions have been developed, bringing unprecedented sensory and visual effects to the knitted products. So do you know the processing methods of knitted fabrics and the technological process of finished knitted fabrics? If you don’t understand, just read on.

The seven major steps of the finished knitting process: spinning, weaving, fabric inspection, cutting, sewing, ironing, and inspection.

Spinning: the cotton yarn entering the factory is wound into a package with a certain structure and specifications, which is suitable for knitting production;

Knitting: The process of organizing yarns into coils of yarns to form a fabric through a loom;

Cloth inspection: Since the quality of grey cloth is directly related to the quality and output of finished knitted products, before cutting, it is necessary to check whether the number of horses, size, density, batch number, and linear density meet the requirements according to the cutting cloth ingredients list. In this step of fabric inspection, the grey fabrics must be inspected one by one according to the standards;

Cutting: Knitted fabrics are cut according to the warp mesh accessories, and the cutting generally adopts the cutting method. Commonly used are flat sleeves, mutual sleeves, inlaid sleeves, spliced sleeves, slit sleeves, etc.;

Sewing: Since the knitted fabric is composed of a string of loops, the edges of the garment pieces after cutting are prone to fall off. Therefore, the edges of the garment pieces should be overlocked and then sewn with a lockstitch machine;

Ironing: Finished knitting products are ironed to make the appearance smooth and the size accurate. When ironing, the liner is inserted into the clothes to keep the product in a certain shape and specification. The size of the liner is slightly larger than the finished product to prevent the size from being too small after being retracted. In addition, it is safer to control the ironing temperature between 180°C and 200°C;

Inspection: This is the last comprehensive inspection before the finished knitted products leave the factory, including two major items: appearance quality and internal quality.
