Conditional access System (CAS) or Conditional access (CA) is the protection of content by requiring certain criteria to be met before granting access to content. It is a technology used to control access to television services to authorized users. Usually, we can see there is a small card in set-top box. The small card gives authorization for decrypting the transmitted programs.
