To search your favorite stuff, just enter the name of the actor, director or title in the search bar using the remote keys. An important thing that you need to know here is that if you want to watch over the air programs, then there is no additional subscription fee for this. You only need to go to Roku account setup page to hook up the antenna to your Roku device.

While searching for contents online, you simply need to type the main keywords or phrases of your program, rest the search will be done automatically by the Roku app. If you don’t want to take your hands out of the pocket, then you can do voice search as well. The results will then get displayed on the screen. It is important to mention here that only local results will be displayed on the screen.

Search with on-screen keyboard: Press the menu button of your Roku remote, if the Roku remote not working, then first troubleshoot or repair it, then go to search option from it. Enter the phrase with the help of Roku remote and click on ‘OK’. The Roku will start searching and display the result on the screen.
If you are watching a channel that is not added to the device, then add a channel first, then reload the results.

Search with the mobile phone: In case you are having a smartphone and want to control the Roku contents through it, then install the Roku app in it after downloading it from the app store.

• You will get the results on the screen. To get details about the particular search from the list, click on the specific program.

Note: If you want to get the latest news from your region, then just enter the date and time in the given field. You will get thousands of news channel after this. Now, it’s your choice which channel you want to watch. If the channel or Roku not working with the channel, then check whether the channel is added to the Roku device or not. If not, then add it first. You will able to watch only after the channel gets added.

Search using voice commands:

Another option to search for particular content on the Roku device is by using the voice commands. You can use this option easily without requiring any extra device or circuitry. Voice command feature is available on the Roku app even. If you want to search for particular director serials, then speak the name of the director in the mic. All the results related to it will be displayed on the screen.
