Factory Images für die Nexus-Reihe: Google hat am 2. Dezember damit begonnen, den Quellcode für Android 5.0.1 Lollipop auf dem Android Open Source Project (AOSP) zu veröffentlichen. Zusammen damit stellte Google auch die Factory Images für einige Geräte der Nexus-Reihe zum Download bereit.Dazu gehören beispielsweise mit Einschränkungen die Tablets Google Nexus 7, Google Nexus 9 und das Google Nexus 10: Denn vorerst stehen die Factory Images nur für die WLAN-Versionen der Geräte zur Verfügung – Inhaber der LTE-Versionen werden sich noch ein wenig gedulden müssen. Auch Nexus-Smartphones wie das Nexus 5 oder das Nexus 4 werden die Factory Images erst später erhalten.Android 5.0.1 Lollipop wird unter der Build-Bezeichnung LRX22C entwickelt; welche Änderungen die neue Lollipop-Version beinhaltet, ist bisher nicht bekannt, berichtet PhoneArena. Voraussichtlich werden dadurch aber lediglich kleinere Bugs behoben und die allgemeine Performance verbessert.
