In the year 1985, he passed from St George's Hospital and became a qualified physician. In his early days, he worked in rheumatology, orthopaedics, A&E and exercise medicine. In the year 1991, he has completed his GP vocational training. He has also completed his diploma in Sport and Exercise Medicine in the year 1992. Since that time he has started working on Sport and Exercise Medicine. Till 2010 he has also been the principal in General Practice.

From 1992 to 2000 he worked as the club doctor at Fulham FC. Two years after that he joined as the club doctor at London Irish RFC. There he worked for the next two years till 2004. Finally, in the year 2007, he became the medical officer of the England Cricket Team.

From 1993 to 2010 he served as the member of the British Olympic Medical Committee. He has also worked as a Doping Control Officer for the UK from 1992 to 1997.
