James Barbour and His Cast To Sing In Broadway Benefit

James Barbour will join the cast of his current show in presenting a night of songs by composer Andrew Lloyd Webber to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fight AIDS.
 
James Barbour is well-known as a singer and Broadway star and the recipient of numerous awards. He was recently named the lead in one of Broadway's longest-running shows. He and his cast members will share the music of Andrew Lloyd Webber at a benefit concert for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS on Sunday, July 12, 2015, at 6:00 p.m. at the Birdland Jazz Club, located at 314 West 44th Street in New York City.

Tickets for the event are being sold for $35 and $25, and can be obtained by calling (212) 581-3080 or by visiting www.BirdlandJazz.com. Currently scheduled to appear are James Barbour, Julia Udine, Kaley Ann Voorhees, Jeremy Hays, Laird Mackinosh and Michele McConnell. In addition, Katharine Heaton, Satomi Hofmann, Kenneth Kantor, Greg Mills, Nathan Patrick Morgan, Bronson Norris Murphy, Carly Blake Sebouhian, Jeremy Stolle, Paul A. Schaefer, Carrington Vilmont and Elizabeth Welch, as well as company member Bobby Wallace, will appear in various roles. The cast is subject to change without notice.

The doors open for this performance at 5:00 p.m., and the show begins at 6:00 p.m. In addition, there is a $10 food and drink minimum at the Birdland Jazz Club. About James Barbour:

James Barbour has performed in numerous musicals, including works by Stephen Sondheim, Rodgers and Hammerstein and more. He has played Sydney Carton in a pre-Broadway adaptation of A Tale of Two Cities as well as reprising the role on Broadway at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre for which he was nominated for the Drama League, Outer Critics and Drama Desk Awards for Best Actor in A Musical.
