The Crown Act Event of June 12, 2022, Was sold-out & one of the most rewarding, impactful, and exciting experiences hosted by Shawn Ho-Hing King, founder of the @talentedteenclub.

The Crown Act Event honored our natural beauty and all it entails. It honored black women and girls who are showing up unapologetically without excuse.

The space was filled with dignitaries, including the esteemed Congresswoman Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick and Stormy Wellington as the keynote speaker. Special Thanks to the Crown partners, City of West Palm Beach, chocolate Bamboo, salon Cafe Inc., Palm Beach County small business of equal opportunity, BBIC, and GCON for the motivation and support.

Stormy Wellington gave a brief about how European beauty affects African-American beauty. Even she took her wig off to show she does not care what others think and it is important to show who you really are. See the video here..
