Only 2 Hours from London for those attending the 2018 Twinwood Festival

The annual Twinwood Vintage Music & Dance Festival draws the crowds from far and wide and ensures a great time is had by all who attend.
Situated just outside Bedford, the festival is within easy reach of most destinations in the UK, and certainly London, from where it is easy and quick to reach the festival that takes place on a weekend in August every year.
Creative Director Annie Wooding was quoted recently at one of her press conferences, “The festival which takes place from 24 – 27 August this year, is normally well attended by a great many visitors from London and surrounds – also from overseas.
“Fortunately London’s train stations and all airports are quite near Bedford and the well-known Twinwood Arena in Clapham, the position of the former RAF Twinwood Farm Airfield where the event takes place. Revellers will find that travelling from the city is easy and the festival therefore very accessible, whether you travel by car or public transport such as by train. However, because it can be a very busy time, we would advise our visitors not too leave it till the last minute. Start out early and come join us for a great, fun weekend.”
Finding the venue is quite easy: by car it is very accessible from the M1 Junctions 13 & 14, the A1 as well as the A6. Alternatively, if you travel by train, Bedford Station (close to the venue) is reached by connections from every direction. The same is true for those visitors that travel by bus and Eurostar. There are also great connections to Bedford from all the London airports. The firm’s website has great, informative details about reaching the venue.
In typical retro style you will be able to enjoy all the fun that include attending some shows by bands that you have heard before, as well as those who perform for the very first time at the festival.
There are some wonderful choices such as Strollin’ Steve with his Rock ’n Roll music from the 1950’s, Steve Halliday’s Elvis tribute Saturday night at the Main Arena and the Bootleg Beatles on Sunday. There are some truly outstanding acts, and enough opportunity to treat yourself to shopping, food and drinks. The whole idea is to have fun and revisit the music and fashions of a past known for its specific music styles and easy, laid back attitudes.

Twinwood Events are based in Clapham Bedford from where we organise various events every year, the most important one being the well-known Twinwood Festival which is steeped in history going back to the days of the famous Glenn Miller and his Orchestra who performed all over the world. The Festival is normally held over a bank holiday weekend and features a line-up that includes various well-known performers from different genres such as Swing, Rock-and-Roll, Northern Soul and other Vintage Music and Dance performers. Different venues include the Twinwood Arena, the Dance Marquee, the Colonial Club and the Control Tower Stage. Accommodation can be booked and food and drinks bought from different eateries to sit down or eat-as-you-go options. Tickets are bought online or over the phone and visitors are advised to book well in advance. For more about us please visit https://twinwoodevents.com/
