Vietnam Tourism organized a roundtable discussion on 11th May with embassies, national tourism organization and international travel agencies within the framework of the Ukraine International Travel & Tourism exhibition 2021 in Kiev, Ukraine. The roundtable was an opportunity for representatives from 13 countries, including Viet Nam, Bulgaria, Cuba, Cyprus, Egypt, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Montenegro, Switzerland, Uzbekistan, Albania and Ukraine to discuss tourism cooperation promotion.

They have also announced thatat the roundtable Vietnamese Ambassador to Ukraine Nguyen Hong Thach shared information about the impressive growth of Vietnam's tourism. In 2019, Vietnam welcomed 18 million international arrivals (up 16.2% compared to 2018) and served 85 million domestic visitors, contributing 9.2% of GDP ($32.8 billion). With this result, Vietnam was ranked in the top 10 countries with the fastest tourism growth in the world, higher than the average growth of the world (3.8%) and the Asia-Pacific region (4.6%).In 2020, Vietnam tourism faced many difficulties due to the Covid-19 pandemic and global travel restrictions.
