Electrical Earthing System Components

The solid wire used in the electrical wiring system must be less than the ground wire in the cross-sectional area.

Grounding Joint

The term "earthing joint" refers to both the "ground electrode" and the conductors that are attached to the "ground continuity conductor" (earthing lead). The connecting end is the tip where the ground continuity conductor connects to the earthing joint. The ground's lead must be small, and straight, and should have a minimal number of joints. Copper strips are chosen for high fitting because they carry large fault current values due to their vast region, in contrast to copper wires, which are typically employed as grounding leads.

Plate of Earth

The earth plate is the final component of the electrical grounding system that is buried underground and connected to the lead of grounding. An extremely low resistance earth electrode, such as a pipe, plate, metallic ground rod, or plate, is used to safely transmit the fault current to the ground.

It must be positioned in moist earth and, if necessary, water should be added to the earth plate if the moisture level is low. It can be made of iron or copper rod. The earth plate is always positioned vertically, and the area around it is coated in salt and charcoal lime. This aids in keeping the ground around the earth's plate moist and in protecting the earth's plate. For improved earthing, the earth plate needs to be set up four meters long.

Ground mats system

A mat composed of copper or GI (galvanized iron) is used in this sort of system and is positioned vertically in a ground pit that is less than 3 meters above the ground. You should keep the earth moist around the mat earthing system for a better electrical grounding system.
