Stuttgart, Germany, March 23, 2016 -- Bible study has reached a new level of greatness. For the first time you can experience the complete Old and New Testament visually. The German artist Willy Wiedmann originally painted THE WIEDMANN BIBLE in order to bring Christians closer to The Holy Scriptures by studying it actively and without being distracted by words.

The artwork contains of 3,333 hand painted pictures painted by Wiedmann over the course of 16 years. As THE WIEDMANN BIBLE is a visual representation of The Holy Scriptures, it transcends all languages and allows anyone and everyone to experience it. Regardless of reading comprehension levels or language background, anyone can understand the stories of The Bible through THE WIEDMANN BIBLE's images.

Expanding upon the artist's original vision, and him as a philanthropist all his life, THE WIEDMANN BIBLE has partnered with The United Bible Societies Germany to help with their cause of aiding individuals to learn how to read and write. Wiedmann's son Martin took it upon himself to complete his meanwhile deceased father's mission.

"My father passionately worked on this project, putting his heart and soul into it. It took him 16 years to create this unique artwork to give people a better understanding of and bring them closer to The Bible. My father was also a philanthropist. Therefore we have decided that parts of the proceeds will be donated to charity and parts reinvested into THE WIEDMANN BIBLE to share his work with the world so that everybody will be able to discover, experience and explore it."

The program "Beacon of Light" of The United Bible Societies supports individuals in Pakistan to learn how to read and write. By that, not only are they able to experience The Bible, their overall quality of life will improve.

We are very happy that THE WIEDMANN BIBLE decided to support one of our many projects worldwide. The program "Beacon of Light" is based on sustainability as all of our projects are", says Horst Scheurenbrand Head of International Department The United Bible Societies Germany. "For many illiterates The Bible is often the only key to a better future. Hence it is important especially for the children and women in Pakistan that projects such as "Beacon of Light" find many supporters."
