Tennessee Wholesale Nursery Now Offers Wholesale Crepe Myrtle Trees At The Most Affordable Prices

December 31st, 2021, Tennessee...The crepe myrtles are now noted to be amongst the most satisfactory plants for their attractive bark, showy summer flowers, and in several cases, the brilliance of the fall color, making them the year-round best performers of the gardens. The wholesale crepe myrtle trees are the best you can put up while you are planning for a picture-perfect garden in your backyard.

Crepe Myrtle Care

All crepe myrtles should be pruned in winter and in the early spring while they bloom on new wood. The basal suckers need to be removed with the twiggy growth that crosses branches with the branches growing towards the center of the plant on large trees and shrubs. Also, make sure to gradually remove the side branches up as this would be exposing the handsome bark of the trucks. Clip off spent flowers for promoting the second lighter bloom during the season of growth.

Types of Crepe Myrtle Trees

Japanese Crepe Myrtle

These are basically native to Japan. The tree is about its erect habit with outward-arching branches as they are about 20-30 ft wide. The light green leaves would be 4 in long and 2 in wide, turning yellow during the fall season. It has its handsome bark with smooth gray outer bark flakes away for revealing the glossy cinnamon-brown bark beneath it. The smaller white flowers are borne in 2-twos.

In the early summer, you get to check out the 4 in-long clusters often blooming again during the late summers. They are resistant to mildew and are best known as the parent of hardy mildew resistant hybrid as they are handsome on their own. It spreads literally above with its showier bark in the form of a vase. The color of the bark is cinnamon and is outstanding here.

Indica Crepe Myrtle

This tree is known for showcasing its flowers during the summer. It is tolerant to heat, humidity, drought and performs quite well in its moist soils as long as they are kept well-drained. It may even be frozen to the ground during the winters resprouting later. The gardeners should be planting the cold-hardy selections, including the Hopi and others. They are variable in size and habits. Their leaves are dark greens, and they turn into their brilliant orange and red during the fall season.

It is also known for developing an attractive trunk with its branch patterns being trained as a tree. They are light brown or smooth gray with their barks that are peeling off to reveal the smooth pinkish inner barks, winter trunks as well as branches that appear to be polished.

Queen's Crepe Myrtle

They are the most tender and showiest of the crepe myrtles displaying the massive clusters of white, pink, and lavender along with the purple flowers during the months of June and July. These individual blossoms mainly reach about 3 inches across the larger leaves, turning red during the fall season. They need annual pruning, especially during the winter months, mainly as it is important to have their size and form under control.
