The much awaited, next major patch for Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls (RoS) has been released for gamers in the Americas last week. One of Blizzard’s most popular titles has received the new patch 2.1 that brings with it serious changes and several major feature updates. However, one question still remains unanswered. How about a release date for fans of the game in Asia, Europe, and other regions?

It looks like Blizzard Entertainment is still mum about the date. All they mentioned is that if you try to download patch Diablo 3 Ros patch 2.1 from an Asian or European client, nothing will happen (at the moment). You will be able to do so until the patch is live in your home region.

Sounds nice? Not really. But we can do nothing but wait. Waiting is not the most exciting thing in the world, especially if your fingers are itching to kick the a** of those Greater Rift Guardians. But Blizzard makes your wait not that tedious by giving you this video to provide some consolation of sorts.

First of all, Season play has been added. Seasons gives you the opportunity to throw it all away and start anew. Your gold stash? Not accessible. Favorite characters and crafters? Na ah. Basically, you start at level 1 when playing on the regular and Hardcore modes. What’s great about it is that participants get new Legendary Items and Transmogs for participating!
This feature is the star of the show (arguably). Aside from viciously tearing your way through monsters until the progress bar fills up and a boss appears, you are also in a battle against the clock in these area. If you’re able to complete each Rift within 15 minutes, you can either upgrade one of the new Legendary Gems from the Greater Rift Guardians or gain access to a more challenging version of the dungeon.
Speaking of Greater Rifts and Seasons, Blizzard also introduced the Leaderboards in this new Diablo 3 Ros patch. Leaderboards are apparently made to keep you pushing harder. They are able to track your best times – so you’ll never have to forget that heart-stopping moment when you killed that gruesome boss with only 2 seconds left on the clock.
