With double the number of goblins on Diablo 3 RoS right now, we’re hoping that some of you have found their way into the Treasure Realm or where the goblins warp to when they escape.



I reported on the Treasure Realm a few weeks ago as it was implemented on the Diablo 3 RoS Patch 2.1 release on the PTR and it looks like they’re using the same mechanic for the live game.

What is this mystical Treasure Realm?

One of the best new features of Diablo 3 RoS in Patch 2.1 is Greed’s Treasure Realm. It answers the question of, “Where do those pesky goblins go?”

Apparently, they have their own parallel plane or world to Sanctuary where they dump all the gold , items and gems. With Diablo 3 RoS Patch 2.1, there is a chance that they forget to close the portal they used to escape and you get to follow them in or use the portal if you killed them before they escaped.

What’s in the Treasure Realm anyway?

This is where things get exciting. Essentially, the Treasure Realm is littered with gold, more gold and golden gold! There are literally piles of gold lying around and breakables that produce large explosions of gold. Even the monsters produce more gold here.

The last stage of the Treasure Realm is a boss fight with Greed–a huge, hulking, saggy-skin monster that’s covered in jewels and treasure. She gets up from her throne and starts mauling you or throwing treasure boxes at you.

After you kill her, a huge box drops that crushes her and lets you squish and hurt her again and again. But don’t mind that, go for the huge pile of treasure around her. You’ll get a few Diablo 3 RoS Legendary Items, lots of gems and more gold.

Get them in pairs
