Potente Gaming-Notebooks sind meist groß, dick, schwer – und vor allem richtig teuer. Da ist das ab Donnerstag, den 7. Dezember, bei Aldi Süd angebotene Medion P7652 geradezu ein Schnäppchen: 999 Euro sollen Kunden für den mobilen Spiele-Experten hinlegen – das ist verdammt eng kalkuliert. Wie hoch ist das Tempo? Eignet sich das mit Windows 10 (64 Bit) ausgerüstete Notebook auch für aktuelle, grafisch opulente Titel wie „Star Wars – Battlefront 2“? Und wie gut ist die Verarbeitung, wie lang hält der Akku durch? Der COMPUTER BILD-Test gibt Antworten.Für 999 Euro gibt es nicht etwa ein mickriges 15-Zoll-Gerät, sondern ein Notebook im bei Spielern beliebten 17-Zoll-Format. Und mit einem Gewicht von rund 2,76 Kilogramm ist das Medion P7652 auch noch vergleichsweise leicht, das Netzteil erhöht das Gewicht jedoch um weitere 606 Gramm. Aber ausgewachsene Gaming-Notebooks bringen allein gern mal 4 Kilogramm auf die Waage – und nicht selten sind diese Boliden gut 4 Zentimeter dick. Das Aldi-Notebook ist mit 3,2 Zentimetern Bauhöhe zwar auch kein filigranes Gerät, aber auch nicht exorbitant klobig. Zumal das durchaus schicke Design das Medion P7652 schlanker macht, als es eigentlich ist. Zudem gefällt die Verarbeitung: Nichts knarzt, das Display-Scharnier garantiert einen straffen Halt des Bildschirms, große Spaltmaße sind am Medion nicht zu finden.

Medion P7652 für Full-HD-Spiele gerüstet Aber die verbauten Komponenten lieferten im Test auch so ein hohes Arbeitstempo. Und auch beim Spielen von Full-HD-Titeln wie „FIFA 18“ war die Geschwindigkeit mit durchschnittlich 51 Bildern pro Sekunde hoch. Beim Zocken von 4K-Titeln wie „Watch Dogs 2“ auf einem externen 4K-Monitor brach das Tempo aber ein: Nur 25 Bilder pro Sekunde sind zu wenig für ein komplett ruckelfreies Gaming-Vergnügen. Für eine flüssige Wiedergabe müssen Spieler daher die Detailwiedergabe runter schrauben, was aber die Bildqualität reduziert. Beim Zocken von 4K-Spielen arbeiten die Komponenten unter Volllast und erzeugen viel Hitze, die ihnen Lüfter vom Silizium-Leib fächeln. Und das sorgte beim Medion für einen hohen Geräuschpegel (3,4 Sone). Ebenfalls verbesserungsfähig: Die Akkulaufzeit von nur zwei Stunden und 46 Minuten. Immerhin dauerte es im Test nur zwei Stunden und fünf Minuten bis der Akku wieder randvoll mit Energie war.

Medion P7652 mit WLAN-ac und vielen Anschlüsse Auch gut: Das Medion hat vergleichsweise viele Anschlüsse für ein Notebook: So bietet es für externe SSDs und Festplatten je eine USB-3.0-Buchse im Typ-A- und Typ-C-Format. Für den Anschluss von Gaming-Tastaturen und Gaming-Mäusen gibt es zwei USB-2.0-Buchsen, Monitore schließen Zocker per HDMI oder VGA ans Aldi-Notebook. Zudem gibt es eine Buchse für Gaming-Headsets, ins Internet geht das Medion P7652 wahlweise kabelgebunden per LAN-Anschluss (1.000 Mbit) oder drahtlos per schnellem WLAN-ac (2,4 und 5 Gigahertz). Zudem ist für den Datenaustausch mit Fitness-Trackern und Smartwatches Bluetooth in der Version 4.2 an Bord. Acer hat mit dem neuen Swift 7 (SF714-51T) laut eigener Aussage das weltweit dünnste Notebook vorgestellt. Es ist gemäß Hersteller exakt 8,98 mm flach und damit noch ein bisschen schlanker als das bisherige Swift 7 (SF713-51) mit 9,96 mm. Dennoch hat Acer mehr Hardware in das Gerät integrieren können, wenngleich sich bei den Anschlüssen offenbar nichts getan hat.
