There are several products known to the muscle building community. One of these is tribulus terrestris. This and other products are meant to boost testosterone hormone in males. So, if your levels are not balanced, you should locate testosterone supplements containing tribulus. All the same, you cannot feel safe buying tribulus without knowing what it is.
Tribulus is a thorny plant that grows in different parts of this world. It is also commonly known as the Devil’s weed or Goat-head. When its fruits dry out, they become tough and hard enough to form tiny seeds with spikes. Even though Devil’s weed triggers a lot of punctures on tires, it tends to have certain properties that make it attractive to makers of muscle-building testosterone supplements. To be more specific, it has an ingredient called steroidal saponin protodioscin. It is the chief nutrient extracted from tribulis.
No wonder there are many testosterone boosters that contain Devil’s weed. Research that has been conducted shows that a supplement containing at least forty percent saponin protodioscin can increase testosterone in just ten days if taken three times a day. Studies are still ongoing, though, to find out whether the ingredient could constantly arouse production of more and more testosterone. But how exactly does tribulus affect testosterone levels? Expert research think that the item increases the lutenizing hormone or LH or the Follicle Stimulating Hormone or FSH.
Another explanation given is that tribulus terrestris increases testosterone by first reducing the amount of blood glucose. How effective a tribulus product is depends on the amount of protodioscin it contains. Depending on where the plant used to manufacturer a supplement was harvested, it could be weak or powerful. So if you find a product from Bulgaria or Turkey, you might just take home a wonderful testosterone booster. However, some supplements may be made in USA while the plant is sourced from these countries. Other products from Asia are okay, but they have low concentration of protodioscin.
If you want to really benefit from the use of tribulus terrestris supplements, opt for those with a tight range. Hence, having excess or too little protodioscin is not encouraged. It is wiser to select a product that can be grouped in the middle range. In short, ensure that you consume between 2.3 to 4.6 milligrams of protodioscin per pound of body weight per day. Any item with less than six percent protodioscin and forty to forty-five percent saponins is fine. When taking your supplement, ensure that you take it with water on an empty stomach.
If you prefer a drink other than water, ensure that it has very low calorie count. Take it in the morning after waking up if you plan to exercise at any given time during the day. If you do not plan to train, take it at mid-day. There are people who prefer to take their dosages with meals, but we do not recommend it because the blood glucose cannot be at the lower end of the normal levels. Tribulus testosterone supplements are so many online. So, be careful when choosing.
