Twinwood is August’s most fabulous festival – the vintage dance festival fans have been waiting for since last year’s celebration of all things musical, dress, dance, or vintage-style related. Bringing the era to life around you, the organisers offer you a nature framed throwback festival, certain to help you make more vintage era friends. A retro festival, London’s vintage scene is expected be in Bedford for the weekend to enjoy it.

The Mr + Miss Vintage UK pageant is proving once again to be a popular element of the festival. Choosing the winners is expected to be more difficult than selecting the finalists! Of all the entries, the selection panel had to select so few as finalists, but the job had to be done. Better luck next year for those who did not make the final list for Mr and Miss Vintage UK. Perhaps you might even find an outfit for next year’s pageant at our market 2018.

This year, 10 ladies vie for the title of Miss Vintage UK, and 5 gentlemen compete in Mr Vintage UK. Every entrant who made it to the final list deserves to win, not just for the look, but the photos themselves, which all capture the moods of the era with simplicity and style. This event may even be more popular than the dancing in the halls. This is like no other retro festival; London, which usually hosts such events, will wish it played host to our festival.

Annie Wooding, Creative Director for Twinwood Vintage Festival, added, “when you think retro festivals, London usually comes to mind, but there will be such a wide array of stalls in our market, it’s going to be a vintage shoppers dream. The dancing, music, and fashion will be infectiously fun”

So, who will be the next Mr + Miss Vintage UK? We’ll have to wait and see, but what we do know is what they’ll be walking away with. Miss Vintage UK will receive a goody bag from What Katy Did, a £300 cheque, a vintage Hollywood photoshoot, £20 voucher for Shazam! Vintage, and a one year subscription to Vintage Life Magazine. The best prize? Free camping tickets for two to next year’s festival. This is a vintage lover’s prize that not even a retro festival in London could pull off.

Mr Vintage UK also wins a trophy, a £250 cheque, plus a £250 voucher for the Vintage Suit Hire Company, and more to be announced.
